Air ring
An air ring is a critical component in the blown film extrusion process, primarily used to cool and stabilize the molten polymer film as it exits the die and forms an expanding bubble. Positioned just above the die, the air ring directs a controlled stream of air onto the film bubble, facilitating rapid cooling and solidification. This process is essential for achieving uniform film thickness, enhancing film strength, and ensuring consistent quality.
